Application and Maintenance Tips We recommend that you prepare the paint surface with Swissvax Cleaner Fluid before applying Swissvax Onyx Wax. This paint preserving solution will nourish the paint with its “heavy” polishing oils. The product does not contain abrasives. Swirl marks, light scratches, tar, tree sap and old wax are completely removed. Cleaner Fluid stops short of the underlying paint layer without scratching it. After preparing your vehicle with Swissvax Cleaner Fluid, do not drive or use the vehicle until the paintwork has been sealed with a Swissvax wax. Otherwise, areas that have been cleaned with Swissvax Cleaner Fluid will be exposed to environmental factors and will have no protection. Apply Swissvax Onyx wax sparingly with a Swissvax Wax Applicator (black) and light pressure to form a uniform wax film on the paintwork. Be sure to use the sponge side. Let stand for 10 minutes. Polish briskly to a high gloss with a Swissvax MicroPolish microfibre cloth (blue) or use a Swissvax terry cotton cloth (red). Keep turning the cloth to expose a clean surface. Try not touch the paintwork for three hours. If at all possible, leave the vehicle in the sun after waxing. You will notice that the lustre continues to deepen during this period. If necessary, buff the surface again quickly using a clean Swissvax MicroPolish microfibre cloth (blue). Once you have waxed your vehicle, we recommend Swissvax Car Bath, a paintwork friendly shampoo concentrate that effectively breaks the bond between the dirt and the paint surface.
